IPS 5.0 Software Download
In order to start using the DeVilbiss eCompliance System please follow these 4 easy steps.

1.	Please read the IPS 5.0 Connection Requirements
2.	Download the Software
	•	Select your profession from the pull down menu below, you will then be redirected to the appropriate setup form
	•	Complete the form and click "Enter"
	•	Your submission will be confirmed and you will be provided a link to "Download the Software"
	•	Click "Ok" to save this program
	•	You can select where you would like to the install program to be saved. If you are uncertain as to where to save the file, just click "Save"
	•	Once the download is complete click "Open".
	•	You will then be taken through the automatic IPS 5.0 Software installation process.
3.	Logon to the DeVilbiss eCompliance Server - Once you have established your LOGON information and have downloaded the IPS 5.0 Software you are ready to access the DeVilbiss eCompliance Server to manage your patients. To logon simply:
	•	Double click on the DeVilbiss Internet IPS icon on your desktop
	•	Enter your User ID and password, then click "Ok"
	•	You will then be logged onto the DeVilbiss eCompliance server and ready to manage your patients.
4.	Setup and manage a patient on the DeVilbiss eCompliance System

IPS 5.0 Connection Requirements

When the DeVilbiss Internet IPS software runs on your computer, it must be able to connect over the Internet to a server computer located at Sunrise Medical, where the data is actually stored. If you are using a modem and a dial-up Internet Service Provider to gain access to the Internet, then this will generally be no problem. You can just dial your Internet Service Provider, then run the DeVilbiss Internet IPS software.

However in many medium and large sized corporate environments where you have a constant connection to the Internet, there is a “firewall” or “proxy server” in place which is designed to protect your corporate network from unauthorized access coming in from the Internet. These devices allow only specific applications to communicate between the corporate network and the Internet, often only e-mail and web browser applications. By allowing only a few known applications to use the Internet connection, the security of the corporate network is greatly increased.

If there is a firewall in place between your computer and the Internet, the firewall must be configured to allow the DeVilbiss Internet IPS software to communicate over your network connection. This configuration will need to be performed by someone in your IT department. The following are the details that your IT department will need in order to configure the firewall to allow the DeVilbiss Internet IPS software to operate:

The DeVilbiss Internet IPS software is a stand-alone program that is downloaded and installed on the client PC. It must be able to establish an outbound connection from TCP port >= 1024 on the client PC to TCP port 985 on the IPS servers.
